Olivia's Joke
I was reading a friend's blog and it reminded me of a recent knock-knock joke that Olivia told me. Since she made it up, I'm especially proud! I had her re-tell it, and it made me laugh again, so I thought I'd post it here-
Knock knock.
Who's there?
Chicken.
Chicken who?
Chicken my bootie (which should be accompanied by a bootie shake like this one:)

Scaredy-Cat
This morning the kids and I went up to visit and feed our little geese friends on campus. I discovered that we have a little scaredy-cat in our family. Okay, so really this isn't new, but we actually have it on video and I thought you might like to see and hear it, too. (And no, this isn't just some lame attempt to divert attention from my recent faux pas.)
The funny part is, it's not just geese he's scared of. What you're seeing in this video is actually pretty mild. We have seen flat-out shrieks of terror from him for the following:
- A fluffy kitty-cat (Aunt Dorothy's house)
- A horse statue (remember this one, Noni?)
- A pink feather from a boa that got stuck to his hand
- A golden retriever (it IS a big dog)
I'm sure there are more, but this list gives you a good idea. What am I going to do when we finally do get a dog??
Working Late
Ben's been having to work a lot of overtime the past few weeks, and since I had the van yesterday that meant the kids and I had to pick him up when he was finished with work. Knowing that he was starving, the kids and I went to surprise him with dinner a little after 7:00 and I fugured we could hang out in the parking lot till he was done. We didn't actually leave until 8:30, but it was a very nice hour for me. I put Connor in his jammies before we left, so I nursed him in the van and then let him roam around in the van with me till Daddy was ready while I read my book. Here's a picture of Connor trying to eat my book..

The girls spent about 30 to 45 minutes playing on the grass outside Ben's office building with only one emergency potty request while we were there. Then they came into the van to watch Olivia's new movie on the DVD player. Since I was hanging out in back with Connor, I let them take over the front. Olivia's always wanted to be in the driver's seat...
