Our art class this week was all about balance and symmetry in a work of art. We compared works that had asymmetry, symmetry, and radial symmetry. Then the girls were given their assignments: Olivia had to complete a piece of artwork that had radial symmetry, and Kelsey had to do a piece with just one line of symmetry. They were quite impressive when they finished!
Here they are displayed on the kitchen cabinets.
This one is Kelsey's - can you tell where her line of symmetry is?
And this is Olivia's. She had 4 lines of radial symmetry. In case you can't tell what it is, it's a bunch of mountains surrounding a lake and some flowers
